How to use I/O with 5 volt MS-3
To make the Microscan MS-3 act like a 24 volt scanner use the IC332.
Other than the old IB 150 that came out with the 710, there's not a Microscan solution to use a photoeye or use the TTL outputs with the USB or Keyboard wedge/RS232 cable Microscan provides.
See the image for a way to build a cable in between the MS-3 and the Host cable to integrate a trigger or connect to I/O
