How to use a hand scanner to program the new master

Microscan bar code scanners have an auxiliary port in which you can configure to be in command processing mode.

This mode allows you to send data from a hand held scanner to program the new master.  Set up the preamble to be <M1, and the post amble to be >

In a daisy chain application the aux port is used by the slave scanner.  Connect the Tx pin on the hand scanner to the Rx of the host port of the Master scanner.  This will program the new master
